Recording Workshop with Sylvia Massy

Nov 11-13 we had another great time at the 2nd recording workshop with producer/engineer/writer Sylvia Massy. She introduced some great and weird recording techniques out of her new book  Recording Unhinged, which has just been released last summer and is already leading the sales charts for its genre @ amazon.de
The amazing Shoegaze/noise Band Hella Comet from Graz served as our Guineepigs for the Production, Sylvia chose their song Midsummer Heat from their latest album for a remix.

Recording Workshop with Sylvia Massy confirmed in november 2016 !

Sylvia Massy  will be producing the new cd of spokane-based indie-trio    “The Flying Mammals”.  in autumn here @ Castle Studios.

Sylvia has just released her new Book  “Recording Unhinged” , so we asked her about doing another recording workshop and she agreed. So i am glad to announce that November 11.-13. 2016 we will host another rec ws here at the castle.

Recording Workshop at Castle Roehrsdorf

the weekend between august 7 and 9th has been very exciting over here …

a very nice crowd of 9 european recording engineers have been our guests, waiting to experience a recording workshop with Sylvia Massy, radiant beeing, reverend of church divine and one of the finest music producers living on planet earth. Sylvia did an amazing job producing 2 great songs with the swedish band Next Stop Horizon. She introduced the workshop members to some of her exceptional recording techniques. Sylvia Massy recording @ Castle Studios

the amazing american producer  Sylvia Massy  has been our guest at the Castle Studios. She did recordings for a classical project including Morgan O´Shaugnessey from Los Angeles on viola and Jakub Tchorzewski from Venice, who greatly enjoyed playing our powerfull Bösendorfer grand piano. The repertoire included pieces from Beethoven, Schostakowich and Strawinski.

After this we had the pleasure to record 12 songs for “Nyckelharpa” which Morgan composed and played himself.
