It is hard to imagine, but for 39 years now on the first weekend in May the villiage of Roehrsdorf is turned into a fairground with a stage for all kinds of programs, food and beverage booths, children’s attractions, booths, shooting galleries and even a ferris wheel. Several thousand visitors are expected every year on that weekend. The apple and cherry blossoms are celebrated big here and the area is know for delicious fruit crop.
Once again this year the Artistic Community at the castle will participate. Saturday afternoon we will have the castle open for coffee and cake in the bar and on Sunday on the castle premises the BluetenKoenigin (Flower Queen) is officially chosen. 3 of the rooms in the castle are also used for various exhibitions. And so, we patiently endure the folk music and make everything clean and tidy. I look forward to a ride on the Ferris Wheel.
