Welcome to the site of the artist community at Castle Röhrsdorf. We are currently a community of friends and artists on the outskirts of the Saxon capital of Dresden.
The Community
We offer artists a unique location in which to record, write, stay and create. With it’s exceptional historic location, this property is uniquely positioned as an experience destination for artists from across Europe and North America.
The 14th Century was first time Schloss Röhrsdorf was mentioned as a manor and the estate was expanded to a castle by the Von Carlowitz family. It burned down in 1890 and was quickly rebuilt. It has been a personal residence,a school, and a hotel.
